What are you thankful for in your classroom?
I am thankful for a wonderful and understanding first grade teacher. My role is similar to an Academic Coach. One of my responsibilities is to field test instructional strategies before rolling them out to the entire staff. Since I don't have a classroom of my own, I had to adopt one. I asked the fantastic first grade teacher (very small school - only one first grade teacher) if I could borrow her class occasionally. She agreed and has been working with me all year. I have a crazy schedule so some weeks I can teach one day and some weeks I can teach four days but it is never the same each week. She has been kind, understanding, and helpful.
What person are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for my wonderful husband. He supports me in everything that I do and understands all the days that I am working day and night to be prepared for school. We have been married for almost eleven years and I don't know what I would do without him. He keeps my life interesting and balanced. He is the other half of my soul.
What 3 blogs are you most thankful for?
There is no way that I could pick just three. I love every blog in my blogroll and and in my blog button list. I could not do my job or find resources for my teachers without every single one of them. Being new to elementary school after working with middle school students my entire career, the teacher bloggers I have found have made the transition so much smoother and easier than I could have ever imagined.
What guilty pleasure are you most thankful for?
Think of me as you will, but the the guilty pleasure I am most thankful for is....Twilight. I know! I am an grown woman but I LOVE the Twilight series. This weekend was especially fantastic because I went to see Breaking Dawn Part I on Saturday (taken by my oh so wonderful husband). I loved the books and love the movies as well. I cannot wait until Breaking Dawn Part 2 is released in theaters.
What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful for my family. This includes my home family and my work family. Life is all about the people you love. I love my husband, my mom, my dad, my brother, my in-laws, my friends, and my fellow teachers.
