Welcome to APRIL!!! Now, where is spring?
Listening:
One of my favorite shows is Top Chef, so tonight I am watching the Las Vegas season again. I cannot cook, but I love to watch it happen on TV.
Loving:
I am been extremely absent from my blog. I have a good reason though. I am pregnant. It was a really tough first trimester with the fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. The fatigue is much better. Still get nauseous but at least it isn't all day long now. I am 17 weeks today. This is me announcing it to the world! I am very excited but anxious at the same time. The first time I was pregnant I didn't make it past eight weeks. I am thrilled to have made it this far, but still scared something will happen. I am not sure I will actually believe it will happen until the baby is born in September. I should find out if the baby is going to be a boy or girl around the end of the month.
Thinking/Wanting/Needing:
I am the district test coordinator and state begins this week with the Iowa Test of Basic Skills for first, second, and ninth grades. Next week is the big deal test for third through eighth graders. It is a busy time for me in the next two weeks. Mondays also have the lovely distinction of being unofficially called "meeting mondays" because I spend almost all day in meetings. Sometimes my job as an instructional coach really stinks (but just because of all the meetings...I LOVE working with my teachers who are the very BEST!!!). Between meetings and testing, I have been stressed, which is probably not good for the baby. Trying not to be but can't help it. Too much to do, too much depends on the results, and not enough time to get it all done in a normal day.
Advice:
If you don't love what you do (whatever that is), then it is time reevaluate and take a new course. I know, nothing groundbreaking, but it is all I have right now (brain is turning into mush).
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it if you would leave a comment so I can try out my new comment section. The supremely wonderful Michelle of the 3am Teacher installed a new customized comment section that allows me to reply to individuals. I love it and her! I want to try it out!!! Go check out her blog. She makes the best graphics (I own almost all of her clipart) and works on blogs also.
Now it is your turn. Go check out Farley's April Currently. Just remember the rule of three if you link up.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is exciting! I completely understand about the worry until the baby is born. I miscarried my first and you just don't relax fully after that. Glad you are starting to feel better. :)
