Teacher Feature - Smart Chick

TeacherFeature

Welcome to a new monthly feature:  Teacher Feature.  Each month I will showcase a teacher that I believe has great information, freebies and/or products for you to check out.  April's teacher is the lovely Tracey from Smart Chick Teaching Resources.  Check out her blog:  Smart Chick Teaching Resources.

She is a 5th grade teacher in central Ohio who has taught for 17 years in four different schools. She spent seven years teaching gifted students in a self-contained unit and is now back to teaching regular fifth grade, and she LOVES it!

She has always wanted to be a teacher, as evidenced by the school she set up in her basement for her poor younger brothers to attend (with grades and everything)! She loves everything about school, especially the kiddos! They are so much fun and she always believes she has a fantastic class!

Here is a great science FREEBIE.  Click here (or on the picture) for the link!  This packet is always a huge hit with her students. There are student directions, graphic organizers, and sample pictures included in the pack! Enjoy!

One of her most popular paid items right now is this resource about mealworms. Click here (or on the picture) for the link!  Tracey loves using critters in her classroom.  Her fifth graders love taking care of a lot of different animals. If you are going to be working on mealworms, check it out!

    1. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it originates with Wise Guys of Wise Guys Teaching Resources (http://wiseguystpt.blogspot.com/) and Creativity in the Common Core Classroom (http://www.creativecommoncoreclassroom.com/).
