Not only is it Back to School time, it is time for Farley's Currently party.
B2S Must Haves: Back to School must haves...what I couldn't start the year without:
1. Chart paper and Sharpie chart markers - I can't imagine teaching with creating anchor charts with my students. The important word in that last sentence is WITH the students. I usually create a framework and then have the students help me complete the chart. Then my teacher OCD kicks in and I recreate a pretty version of the chart to hang up for future reference. Oh, can't forget the Sharpie chart markers. I LOVE all things Sharpie!!!
2. Wonderful team - I work with a great group of teachers in my district. They have been in their rooms for two weeks now and they don't have to officially be back until the 15th. They are dedicated and want to make sure they are ready to start with year.
Now it is your turn, go check out everyone else who has linked up and then link up your own currently. I would love to know what your back to school must haves are. Don't forget at the Rule of Three.
I hate dishes too! I agree about chart paper and Sharpies. There is something magical about that combination. Glad to be a new follower!

Tales From Room 112
Wouldn't it be nice if lesson plans wrote themselves. I keep thinking that if I buy me one of those cute lesson planners that maybe it will motivate me a little more to want to do them ;). Wishful thinking.

I've been watching the Olympics also, I even start to tear up with some of the background stories or when they show the parents crying after their child performs. I'm now following your blog, it's so cute!

What, there aren't cute little elves that don't write up your lesson plans--I always think that about cleaning!
ReplyDeleteHi Jana,
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower. I found you through FancyFreein4ths followers giveaway. I am also on Farely's blog hop. I see that you are having dishwashing issues. I recently had my 12 year old daughter fill up the rinse aid with Mr. Clean. Awwwk! I had to do the dishes by hand until we figured out how to get it out. The machine would fill up with bubbles and pour out onto the floor just like in the movies. Sound funny now, but wasn't at the time! Had to suck it out with a wet/dry vac and daughter learned a valuable life lesson of making sure to read labels carefully. Oh and also, how to do the dishes 'Old School!'
Please take a moment to hop over and check out my blog.
